Story Line

By World War 4, using nuclear weapons was like throwing toothpicks at your adversary. Even infantry were more advanced, most of it not even being human. Cybernetics, biotech, and other technologies made the war an absolutely devastating conflict, tearing the world to pieces. The Ultra-computer Sudika survived the conflict. Created as a war machine, Sudika was never meant to have any real artificial intelligence, though that was capable at the time. It was simply meant to carry on the war, with its own robot factory that allowed it to create soldiers and workers to keep it running. But its ultimate weapon was an orbital satellite, with several surgical "country crusher" superlasers, the ability to create EMP shockwaves on the planet, and impenetrable security... the size of a small city. This mighty weapon was called the Sudika Sabre. During the conflict, Sudika was slightly damaged, and it gained something along the lines of self-awareness, though its only thoughts were to destroy. When it pounded the supercomputer LOGICA-5 into rubble, it stole it's data banks as salvage and ended up gaining advanced AI. Its new found intelligence helped it figure out what had happened, and its somewhat deranged attitude gave it a mission: To become the ruler of the survivors. For there are survivors. Many of them are human. Some of them, however, are strange creatures created by genetic experiments or just good old hideous mutation. They are living in a medieval-like civilization, with only a few rare pockets of high technology left. Sudika set itself up as a god easily. The Sabre's cyborg creations, called Sudika Soldiers, collect tribute in the form of technological artifacts or simple raw materials. Sometimes even living workers. Any who resist are destroyed by the Soldiers (each one has the power of an entire medieval cavalry army), or in extreme cases, simply annihilated by the Sabre itself. Otherwise, it doesn't seem to interfere in civilization that much. Its followers, the notorious Church of Sudika, seems to have no qualms about doing that. There are those who would set themselves up as rulers, though. From a strange monastic isolationist group with some of the last remnants of technology, to an underground resistance force trying to destroy all order in belief that it will bring true harmony, all kinds of strange and mysterious peoples are trying to assert themselves as Sudika's equal, or perhaps it's superior. The strange bio-messiah Tryulan has definitely amassed many followers, but no one can stand up to the might of the Sudika Soldiers or the Sabre. Yet, perhaps, the day would arrive, where the Sabre, would finally fall. Only time can tell....

Welcome to life under the shadow of the Sudika Sabre.
